It has been suggested that we build on Brown’s Statement on Constitutional Reform by contacting elected members about their positions, invite speakers to speak at party meetings and perhaps we run an e-petition on our shortly to be revamped website. This would say something like:

"We, Labour members or supporters, believe that the time is now for Labour to

demonstrate its commitment to democracy and fulfil its promise to open up

debate on the voting system and after discussion inside and outside the Party, and learning from Labour members of assemblies elected under PR systems or in no overall control councils, and to state its views on reform clearly before the next general election."
